His being black is last on the list of reasons why the story is important. His sitting in a job that 2 black female sociologists that actually did the work were turned down for because he ticked more boxes than them is relevant and not one person has reported on it or spoken to them.
Cambridge University’s woke HR staff facilitated Arday, appointing him to a position for which he was unqualified, and enthusiastically used him as their DEI poster boy. But nobody forced Arday to plagiarise other academic’s work, or embellish his life story and CV with lies. Neither did Cambridge call the police on a journalist who was investigating Arday’s fictional achievements. Arday did that all on his own. In the end, the fictional persona he had created for himself collapsed and he couldn’t live with the consequences. But the person most responsible for Jason Arday’s downfall was Jason Arday. I fail to see how he was a victim of racism, or why I should feel sorry for him.

The heat needs to be turned up on Cambridge U. They have completely debauched the standards of higher learning. If I have a CV come across my desk and I Cambridge U I might just toss it in the trash. Around 5-6 years ago some circuit court judges in the U.S. publicly stated that anyone who had received their law degree from ‘elite’ Yale University should not waste time applying for a clerkship with them, as the school had gone ultra-woke and were no longer producing law scholars who could analyze the law correctly.

Nathan Cofnas who was made a fellow at Cambridge University his scientific racism advocacy resulted in controversy over his appointment he believes Black People are less intelligent, he had 58 complaints against him because of his views which Cambridge University covered up, he was later fired by Emmanuel College. The Telegraph failed to mention the Phenomenon called Contract Cheating where according to to CBS News white Americans were paying Black Kenyans to cheat on coursework the practice also known as Academic ghostwriting, highly educated underemployed Kenyan graduates were utilised.

I believe that people should be employed on merit. DEI is not good for black people. How can they ever be proud of their acheivements, if there is always the doubt that they haven't earned them. It is also anti-white racism.
Had he been black and a genuine academic, then there would have been no story other than one of great achievement. He was appointed by Cambridge so that his department could virtual signal their progressive moral superiority. He was failed by a system that wanted to show off its progressive credentials..
