The irony of this song being about the hypocrisy of the music industry producing catchy singles$4 while simultaneously singing in a high-pitched whining pop music tone is laughable. It's possible that he's doing it ironically but more probable that he's doing it for the dollars. I was a big corn fan in the late 90s until they're fourth album came out and then they got reduced to the same story that most pop culture entertainers get caught up with. Selling their soul for money. Taking what was once good music that meant something to millions of people music that came from the heart and deep parts of your soul into a money-making machine. Which is not only is soulless but sounds like s*** too. Their music pretty well sucks now. And has since the release of their fourth album. You could tell it was happening on the got the life album as well but it was still listenable albeit just barely. I knew when they were getting their songs consistently played on the MTV top 10 lists that they were doomed as a band
