The Landsverk L-62 Anti II is a Swedish-designed self-propelled anti-aircraft gun armed with the legendary 40mm Bofors gun. Although Sweden itself maintained neutrality, this machine became a true World War II legend in the service of other nations!
In Finland, a unit of six such vehicles (designated ItPsv 41) escorted StuG III assault guns during the massive Battle of Tali-Ihantala. They successfully fought off Soviet Il-2 attack aircraft—the “flying tanks”—shooting down 11 planes without losing a single vehicle of their own!
Meanwhile, Hungary established licensed production of this machine under the name 40M Nimród.

"WarThunder"
Hard to say "excellently" against aircraft, the bofors really excelled at sea where it had timed fuses and a dozen friends shooting at the same time. A single barrel, slow-firing, manual traverse gun was probably an acquired skill with IL2's are coming at you!
Would be cool as hell to shoot one of these at drones for sport.
I love bolt action Finns (bolt action the tabletop game). Wish we could use these lol 😅
Imagine charging down a street only to be hit with a 40mm HE anti-aircraft canon
Hungary had these? Hopefully the Italian tech tree gets this someday.
Then how many these tanks was produced
Looks like some sort of Steilgranate attached towards the end
The Swede doesn’t sold it because they fear Soviet expansion
But because Russians is their ancient enemy a deep historical trauma
The Swedish king was once Duke of Finland 🇫🇮 and also a Duke of ingria
A twin land of Finland some finns and German and Viking population
Was native owner of this land for 500-1000 year before usurped by Russia
Wow I’ve used this in war thunder before but actually learning some of the history is really cool
