In the original they nuke magneto before his fight with apocalypse and he still can just pick up apocalypse and yeet him, why didn't he just yeet him immediately in episode 4? like for real, just yeet him and also close the black hole. The nerf man.

I can’t even explain how awesome it’s been watching this with my daughter. She’s never seen the original X-Men animated series, but she got totally hooked on Season 1. We just finished the Season 2 premiere, and she was asking tons of questions ('Who's that guy?!'). Seeing her eyes light up when Storm summoned those cosmic flares was just the best.

"The X-men are scattered through time, in the past from the start of apocalypse's reign to the future at the height of his rule" but don't worry that'll barely be a thing really, maybe 3 out of 10 episodes of the season the rest we'll just test out ideas for spinning off an X-Force or X-Something-Else series…. Like is it just me or does some of the dialogue writing this season seem kind of worse like less refined/sophisticated, like it missed a final pass in editing and even a little less designed for adults, and the overall narrative arc feels less connective across episodes and like there are loose threads unaddressed everywhere? It's episode 6 already and it feels like is this season they don't know if they wanted to do more about Cable and Bishop DOFP and fold in Mother Askani/Rachel Summers and Apocalypse tying to the stuff from season 1 with Bastian and Nimrod (seems like No), or if they wanted to follow the Xavier and Magnus dynamic and the end of season 1 toward Onslaught (seems like maybe), or if they just wanted to test the concept of an X-Factor or X-Force series spin off and waste 2 out of 6 episodes so far on this (seems like yes), or if Kang or the Celestials were going to come into play more (seems like no), or wait what about Apocalypse and Gambit maybe its the season for this to come up or maybe they just keep that in post credit or single scenes per episode? But hey at least Wolverine got his full-metal comeback and was barely an inconvenience at all, and all the weight and soul the first season had around identity, pride, belonging, persecution and ostracisation seems like that went out the window when you guys booted demayo out the door, that's a massive shame. When you called it "97" surely you realised you were using the nostalgia angle to strongly point the show in the direction of an audience of adults who were kids in the 90s, the first season felt like it was aware of this and written for this, but the second season is starting to feel like its written for 8-12 year olds again.

My fear is this. I think they will recast Magneto. Im sure he will come back. But he will come back black. I think its not a secret that DIsney did not like x-men 97. They found a reason to fire the showrunner. I can see them being so excited to recast it and change it for a modern audience. The new showrunner last ran The What if? Series. I think thats a bad sign.. I have a feeling the change will happen this season. Next season will be a shadow of its former self. I for see the end. This show is to great for them not to ruin it.
Yall should make an avengers 90’s show since you have already introduced most of the main cast, or maybe bring back earth’s mightiest heroes

X-men from the 90s already defeated apocalypse with the help of all the psychics and magneto. If this show is the same story line why is he a thing again and how is it they act surprised when then meet him he and kills magneto 🤷🏻♂️
