what I would have done, I would have put it up as a wall piece but I would have put it up as a giant clock I would have got some numbers and some hands to make that piece look amazing and work as a wall clock
If you do black again, you should add gold throughout it. Like add some an 1/2" – 1" away from the boarder! I think you can add gold leaf flakes to clear epoxy, or just use a gold color, but yeah, this thing is awesome!
I see a fair few of comments asking why he doesn't just sand or router one or both sides off and let the moisture out that way.
As the wood loses moisture it will shrink, the epoxy will not. The movement of the wood will destroy it. Unless he carefully takes off all the epoxy without damaging it. Sure top and bottom are easy. But all the details will be lost.
This guy never see seems to find the “Trapped Moisture “ till it’s finished. Must be a dip shit or it’s just his way of getting people to comment on his videos.
So there's an art to it there must be a long-term manufacturing standard to know about the moisture and things like that I would never have you even consider that a problem
