One Minute Late—Lose a $250 Bonus?

Rachel clocked in one minute late—and lost her $250 attendance bonus.

But her timecard still showed only 40 hours, even though Mark watched her unload trucks before opening and close the receiving area after her shift.

The company counted one late minute but erased ten hours of work.

If the clock is accurate enough to take $250, shouldn’t it be accurate enough to pay every minute worked?

  1. Isn't it HR who is responsible for the attendance system. I bet if there was a full investigation into HR's timekeeping a very large discrepency would be discovered.

  3. I lost a bonus of 500 dollars, for missing 3 hours in the entire year, for a doctor's appointment, after that I stayed home when I was sick. I took my 3 days mandatory sick days, plus the 2 suplementay sick days every year afterwards.

  4. I wouldn't work for a company that cheats it's workers put of thete rightfully earned pay ,,take them to court so that everyone can see just what a rubbish company they really are ,,,to court with them ,
