A Phoenix woman has received $20,000 of the $43,000 she was promised in a settlement after a backyard casita project fell apart.
Denise Walsh had signed a contract with Quick Homes and paid $57,000 up front to cover half of the project. When her HOA said she could not put the casita where she wanted, she canceled the project. According to her original contract, she was entitled to get at least some of her money back.
On Your Side contacted Kyle Styers at Quick Homes Arizona, LLC, who agreed to an interview.
Susan Campbell has the latest from the interview.

If the company had spent the monies on materials before the contract was cancelled then they have a right to keep that portion of the monies. Read a contract carefully.
The real villains here are the HOA bust dont hire shady contractors
Are there any honest contractors out there???
So the Arizona news station got the remaining funds but won't just give the $23,000. Is the news service playing the odds she will go away and the news can keep the money?
This is not their fault
