  1. The F version with an extra pilot is a great leap forward and this F version was driven by Brazil, countries working together to improve the plane is unique, when one pilot is focused on flying the plane the other will control and manage the AI drones that will be flying next to them. The F version will be an advanced AI drone hub that is decades ahead of other planes in this ability.

  2. Beautiful jet. Curious thing is Sweden decided to keep training on the older Gripen Ds and has therefore no orders in for the F-version. Although they did open for a future order of Gripen Fs. Curious nevertheless.

  3. Also it was announced as Brazils defence minister Jose Mucio visited Stockholm yesterday that Brazil will order 20 additional Gripens on top of what is already purchased. I have not yet seen this in foreign medias but Swedish ones were quick to report it yesterday. This would increase their number to 56 in total.

  4. As a Thai I love the Gripen we have. For our lackluster budget it's not just cheaper to buy but also wayyyy cheaper to maintain than F-16. And lot of things can be done by conscript too.
The budget to buy 12 Gripen and keep them operational for 10 years is a lot less than 10 F-16. And you can't even keep 12 F-35 running for more than a year with that budget. Let alone buying them to begin with.

  5. The UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Sweden. I hope they can make a joint aircraft and produce it in 6 different locations or even Canada. So 7 places.
    Just a dream.

    Why not here?

    EU (R&D) funding?
    a) F-6xA: The classic (CTOL)
    b) F-6xB: The vertical (STOVL)
    c) F-6xC: The carrier version (CV)
That way, each country could customize it according to their needs (for national pride).
    Just an idea…
