Cutting H1B alone is not going to help, I know many people going back to India and doing the same job from there. There should be additional taxes on offshoring.

There is about $1.3 million h1bs including their families in the country of 330 million people. That’s not even 0.5% of the population, so much for the strongest democracy in the world.

As soon as h1b 100k fee order was announced not even implemented, very most US companies opened/expanded their offices in India, UK, and in other countries.
Now all those countries not only got the foreign investments but also jobs. Jobs which in very conservative terms generate at-least $50B in federal taxes alone.
