Schluter shower drain tips…use the correct cement, for example, ABS cement for ABS pipe. Normally I do 4 to 5 revolutions on the pipe and fitting (alternating – like in the video). Then I twist the riser and drain one-quarter turn. These methods provide leakproof solvent welds.

Just put the flange down and stick a tape down the hole and measure 😅 I also like to glue the pipe to the flange the day I set the pan then glue pipe to trap next day
What about leaving room for your adhesive layer?
Never ever put faith on diy drain pans😅. Always old style lead shower drain pan sheet or pre-made fiberglass shower pan.
Wish I could find a chamfer tool near me 😭🤦🏻♂️
What about large format tile
I understand why people make these YouTube channels because at least you get paid decently from YouTube. I built 30 or 40 showers and I rarely get a person who’s willing to pay what it’s worth.
Nice pipe cutter
Your a genius !
Are those washers 24 inches off center?
Should be a green glue color?
You're supposed to install the pan first (in schluter allset mortar with a 1/4"x 3/8" notch trowel) and then embed the drain in mortar at the same time you glue it in. This drain has no support and will not be warrantied by schluter. You're not giving people tips. You were showing people improper installation. I'm not trying to be a jerk I'm just pointing out that this is not the way it's supposed to be done. I'd hate to see somebody ruin thousands of dollars worth of materials after following these instructions…
Abs stands for absolute bull shit
Should do the drain after the pan
anyone notice he is using Rain and shine pvc glue on abs……
such a good ass tape isn’t it I love the crescent tape w the neon writing w black background very good w the eyes
Great job. Nice to see a clean straight water tight connection.
FYI that is not abs glue..
Abs is the worst exactly why it's used in shit houses this shit has been recalled in like 20 states it should only be used in trailers and tiny homes
Don’t glue inside of fittings or twist once glue has been applied
Why put product on the drain again?
