Terry was diagnosed with bulbar-onset amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in 2024. While he is still able to move his mouth and body, his speech has become impaired to the point where his loved ones have difficulty understanding him.
Through the VOICE trial, Terry is using his Neuralink implant to help fine-tune a brain-to-voice interface for himself and others who can’t speak. He trained the algorithm first by miming speech as best he could, then by simply thinking the words and hearing them come out in his own natural voice.

so impressive
Beautiful moving video, thanks for sharing!
its something i guess. A bit how you going, but somethin
what if someone sedates you while you're napping in your car, kidnaps you, put you under the knife and implants this in your brain and then returns you to your car. What then…
The future's brighter thanks to Neuralink
I gave me chills!
I guarantee you neuralink will end up being the mark of the beast
watch people who are against elon musk tell you its not a good thing to use it
Nazis are weird these days.
And tell me why people think Elon is so bad again??
this can be really dangerous. you are literally giving complete access of your brain to the chip. it's just like the Dr Octavius scene in spiderman only difference is that Octavius had mechanical arms and this person does not have it.
am feelin' bad for Stephen Hawking
We could eventually make telepathy possible through wireless communication between brain
So all I got from this video, that it didn't give his voice back just somewhat made it easier to put his thought into speech. Since he still could've just used the text to speech method, which would've taken longer and be somewhat annoying to deal with. So only time will tell where he can do all the simultaneously, with no lag. Which then the title of the video would be somewhat correct. Because as seen in the video which I know they didn't shown it off, but the nod after the text appears has to be from the fact that it's not always correct or so I believe.
this is insane!
Well done team!!
"It's a No Brainer" well played ma'am 😎
It only took a chip in the fucking brain. Holy shit this world is so fucked.
Almost sounds like a science fiction.
Dayum, who's cutting onions?
Prayers for the family, this tech is the death of privacy and should be stopped
I am disabled and will never accept being a cyborg, we are the ones they are soft launching this with bc of our potential inspiration capital
Wake up my friends, this is inspiration p8rn to market a weapon of war developed by a madman who has had negative impacts on Medicaid and Medicare access
The same guy who DOGE cut us into losing state and federal supports is just trying to help disabled people?
