Suspect missing after being released by Cook County judge in $73K Chase bank scam case

Police are once again searching for a man accused of taking part in an alleged bank impersonation scheme that cost a Mariano’s worker $73,000 after authorities say he failed to appear in court this week.

Breider Iriarte Campomar was located in Pennsylvania earlier this month and extradited to Cook County last week.

He was charged with theft by deception, a Class 2 felony, and released by a Cook County judge under pretrial conditions.

  1. @ Samantha Chatman – please follow up with an interview with the judge. Have the victim and the judge in the same room, so the judge can try to explain his actions to this poor guy face to face.

  2. It's incredible that they caught the scammer, how much resources did that take, what are the odds? And then a Cook County judge just lets the guy go???

That judge should be held accountable. Clearly, the scammer is going to run. Doesn't take a genius (or a Judge) to figure that out. Let the judge give this victim $74,000.

  3. 🙄…Geezus Christ! If your bank wanted something they would send an email notice. Next, you sign-in to see what they want. It’s even safer if your private account information is on a DESKTOP👀. Don’t fall for that telephone ISH! Don’t fall for the GRIFTERS on the street asking to contribute to XYZ charity…keep walking…DON’T STOP🥸.

  4. Suspects, murderers, robbers, repetive felons and convicts, and rapists are always out and about in Crook County. These judges need to be disbarred and locked away, along with the da and prosecutors. They are the accomplices with failed accountability to keep the productive citizens out of harm. Truly a failure, IL and the US are.

  5. did Nadia Marsh arche type quiz last night and genuinely thought the result was wrong at first 😭 then i started reading the workbook and kept finding little things that were way too accurate. especially the parts about why i keep repeating the same patterns. kinda hated being called out like that lol. LOVED IT though

  6. They also call from a south Caroline number saying you ordered an iPhone 12 and your account is frozen. They know your name and address because it's been sold to them thru apps you sign up for or download. Happened to me and I answered and they got upset because I told them it was a scam to get my bank account info. I then hung up and then called them back over 40 times just being a butthole because they were messing with the right one. That number has since been disconnected lol and I have not received another call. Not from them scammers

  7. You would think an actual bank employee would have told him he might be getting scammed when he made those at least three separate withdrawals and inquire why he just wouldn't have withdrawn all of the money at once, but looks like hours in between.
