  1. Hi, I am from Argentina. Good lesson , because we need to know how to put the tonge to sound more english. My difficulty , apart from that, I can't follow easily what the other person speaks fast. Thank you.

  2. ive noticed something she tried to explain but not precisely, kinda expected since natives of any language always have a hard time explaining this sort of thing. in a nutshell, the Dark L and Light L are the same, they take the same tongue position, that is it, dont overthink it, THEY ARE THE SAME.

i tried to do the light L in english with the light L in spanish but it didnt work, it just led me to realize that they dont take the same mouth position, the L in english is pronounced by using the front part of your tongue on the alveolar, its gonna spread on the alveolar withou th touching the teeth but very close to the upper front teeth, the L in spanish is kinda similar to that of english but with one difference, the tip of the tongue just touches the curve of the alveolar without spreading on the alveolar, if u r a spanish speaker its the same position to pronounce the flapped r sound, many spanish speakers dont realize but they flap their Rs on that part of the mouth. i hope this helps. this video is kinda old but very helpful

  3. Good morning to all of you. I do love this course. By the way, I would like having a friend(s)from America or British so that I could brush up my English. I'm from Côte d'Ivoire, also a sophomore in English. But… My English is not that good one😢

  4. As a native speaker, I would add that there are many places in the South where nearly every L is dark. It's one of the hallmarks of the deep south accent. Many of the people I know, especially those who come from rural areas here, would have pronounced all of those Ls with a strangled sound in the back of the throat.

  5. What about me, I've never had this kind of problem with L sound. Honestly, I was totally confused when I started watching this video. It was hard for me to understand what the problem with this sound, I've never thought about it when I was speaking before, and yeah, I did the dark and the light L I just didn't even know
