  1. I live right up the street from that marina. I know the impact those animals have had on millions and I understand how people are hurt. I also know the legacy they've left by helping to protect habitat and, by extension, my little village. That said, I find the anthropomorphizing of wildlife on social media wildly disrespectful and lacking in humility. Applying human thinking and behavior to wild animals is so off the mark. But instead of learning about and appreciating instincts and behaviors we want to bring nature to "us" and insert ourselves in to it. I'm in the wilderness most every day and that's something I'll never understand. Nature just "is." Seems like that alone is something to really appreciate and protect.

  2. Crazy that the bald eagles have no clue they were so famous

    I wonder if Jackie’s family
    Knows she passed away or
If she just disappeared one day and didn’t return home

  3. What makes me even sadder that Jackie’s death is how most humans don’t see and realize the great love our Heavenly Father has for all of us. He created not only us, but all the animals we love. How must He feel when we ignore and reject His love?

  4. You took a wild animal out of nature. Screwed up the natural order, and spent god knows how much money to not save the thing (unsuccessfully). Come on people. We have much more important things to spend money and time on.
