The projector was free when I bought that phone when it was released.
It's actually similar to the Samsung Beam, but the projector is sold separately and is more powerful.
I had one these phones.
It was awesome but the display cracked very easily and was extremely expensive to replace at that time.

the Moto Z line was such a GREAT idea for modularity, sadly most people didn't care or had money to buy the phone and addons. The few ones I knew had one only had the Moto Z2 Play 'Cause it came with the gamepad addon included.
And that's why we can't have actual nice things 'cause either people don't care and/or they can't buy it.

This is so cool
I had every gen of this phone and it was truly a answer to how to make a smart phone that could not just do everything but for the time be good at doing all those things. The cool thing too is as it got older the mods became so cheap to buy you can literally buy all the mods for under $150 if you shop used. I still have all mines and my favorite was the controller mod because it was so perfect and for a long time was the best set up for playing Android games. I was sad when they stopped making the z series and that's when I went from a long time moto fan to a samsung fan. The new techno phone that is similar to this but fixed all the negatives is really dope and highly likely to become a production device.

Le pire des phone Motorola a fait une grosse erreur en faisant cela c’était bien beau sur papier mais en réalité une vraie catastrophe je l’ai eue 2 ans es du jour au lendemain plus rien ne fonctionnait je l’ai envoyé chez des réparateur ils ont rien pu faire je l’ai ensuite renvoyer directement chez Motorola eue pareil du coup ils m’ont remboursé le phone plus la totalité des accessoires

Still have my Moto Z4 to this day, maybe dated in performance but my projector still works and I have a big blank wall in my room and still love this phone. Sucks Motorola aborted this project. Jailbreaking this phone will help with bloat wares always playing in background slowing the phone.
