So T. rex wasn't a slow dumb tank, it was a 15-ton warm-blooded power-walking ostrich with a cat's sense of smell and lips — my brother, that thing could smell your blood from a mile away and then sneak up on you quietly, which is somehow way worse. Controversial take: Henry Osborn is the biggest hustler in science history, my guy named the King of the Tyrant Lizards without ever looking at a single bone just to beat Pittsburgh to the punch — that's not paleontology, that's competitive pettiness. But the part that really got me is "teen rex" turning out to be a whole different grown-up species after decades of scientists building its teenage years on the wrong animal — that's a lot of homework to redo. What impresses me about the story of the T-Rex is that every single time they discover something new about them, it's consistently something that makes them even more terrifying.

You know something that has always bugged me is when they do animations etc of t-rex and other predatory dinosaurs hunting, they have them making a huge racket. A predator would soon starve to death roaring and growly as it was trying to stalk prey.

Makes me wonder if TRex was like a seagull, ravem or vultures . More like the trash crew and not truly the hunter. Eating corpses of huge animals was probably a big task needing a lot of Dino power. And i can even imagine that the tiny arms were actually handy for holding something firm and pinned down while the teeth ripped it apart.
