On the bench, Ed and Barry look at a T-10 four-speed gear with the teeth gone, and Ed jokes it’s been to the dentist. Ed says it needs a new one, which is either a very rare new part from a dealer or a total project.

Bearing splitter, and a press. Quick work, otherwise it's beating and banging, usually if the gear is trashed, needs a bearing anyway.
IT'S HIS- HE CAN REMOVE THE BEARING ' THE WAY' HE WANTS!
They need to Go to the Dentist for removal 😂😂😂😂😂
Teeth are bad
having built these transmissions for a long time. thank you for letting ed have his day. ive beat a lot of them apart but i finest them back together!
👁️📺❤️
I couldn't really see the splines on the input. But it was a course, spline, it probably was just a regular T10 not a super T10. regular T10 , you would be better off with a muncy.
Why worry about gettin the old bearing off , hope your not going to re use that old bearing after beatin it up…?
I think it's time Ed enjoys a well deserved retirement
I love the Muncie 4 speed 👍❤️❤️
JUST Use a BIGGER hammer…
Send it to the flip flop guys, in an hour they'll have you fixed up like new.
Back in the day when I worked in an auto parts store machine shop, I'd use a hammer and chisel to break the hardened steel retainer ring, then use a hydraulic press to remover the bearing. Next, use the press again to install the new bearing and retainer ring…
Gettin it done! Go Ed!!
Yeah, that’s not how you take that bearing off 😢
