Trying to make fluorine (without dying)

As far as I know, this makes me the first home chemist to actually produce elemental fluorine outside of a lab! Not that any of it left the reactor…but sometimes you’ve gotta take the wins you’re given. I will be improving the electrolysis process in a future full-length video, so stay tuned!

  1. I'm pretty sure that, due to elemental fluorine's intense electronegativity, when inhaled, it can cause: extreme respiratory issues, illness, and, oftentimes, death. If you do desire to experiment with/collect it, please make sure to do it in a very well-ventilated area and with the proper equipment.

  2. You stupid overly ambitious ahole. You are not only putting yourself at risk but also any first responder that has to treat you. Please see link below for Honeywell HF medical treatment manual. There are very few ambulance services and emergency rooms that keep calcium gluconate on hand. This is the only treatment for for eye and inhalation exposures. Glucogon gel for topical exposures and benzalkonium chloride iced. As someone that has had to seek treatment for elemental F2 exposure trying to explain to emergency room staff the difference between F2 / HF and HCl is difficult. And you are pretty much effed if you try for urgent care. They will not know how to help you nor will they have the necessary materials to do so. Also for eye exposure no morgan lenses. Request manual syringe lavage to avoid extensive corneal damage. You can have a compounding pharmacy prepack syringes for you (subq for dermal exposure) and probably also want it in a vial for addition to a nebulizer setup. Also 500 ml normal saline with calcium gluconate for eye lavage with a nasal canula. The nasal canula is placed over the bridge of your nose for irrigation. Full face respirator with fume hood. Organic acid vapor cartidges for respirator. Better off with direct air or scba. To amplify another post… degree and fume hood. F2 becomes HF on contact with air. Skin exposure to liquid HF at ~5 cm^2 is enough to bind with the serum Calcium in your blood and shut down your heart.

Also please note… fire departments and ems peeps… any lithium battery fire exposure is also an HF exposure event and should be considered as such. Ventolin, albuterol and ipratropium bromide as first line treatments for chemical pneumonitis are not going to cut it. You will likely see moderate improvement in the short term enough for discharge followed by readmission within 24 hours for pulmonary edema caused by tissue liquifaction. It is counterintuitive however, HF is unique in that dilute solutions are often more dangerous than concentrated solutions.

  4. Guys Jesus loves all of you and died for us all despite even we sin and we ar Damned to go to hell but Jesus took that punishment for us while dying on a cross

  5. The was a research paper published a few years ago for making pure fluorine gas for small labs. I think they used a copper fluoride electrode. You can prob find it with google.

  6. My guy, ive transported this shit once. Nothing bad happened, but the sheer amount of safety protocols and storage is insane. It got its own room behind what i can only describe as a bunker and that was in a separate building! But one thing ill remember most was the sign on the door.
    DANGER
Make your peace with God before opening this door
. This is the kind of stuff you cant learn from your mistake you only get one

  7. High quality video content! I have another question: someone transferred me some usdt and I have recovery phrases. (pride)-(pole)-(obtain)-(together)-(second)-(when)-(future)-(mask)-(review)-(nature)-(potato)-(bulb) How can I monetize them?
