The thousands of sailors aboard the Norfolk-based USS Gerald R. Ford finally returned home Saturday morning after a record-breaking deployment that involved them in U.S. military operations around the world. The USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78), USS Bainbridge (DDG 96) and USS Mahan (DDG 72) are the ships set to arrive back at Naval Station Norfolk. The return of the Ford will end its 326-day deployment — the longest deployment for an aircraft carrier since the Vietnam War. The Ford surpassed the previous 294-day deployment record, which was held by the USS Abraham Lincoln during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

I missed this..I am glad they are finally home and thank them for their sacrifice.
I bet they are happy to be on land again for awhile instead of cramped up in a ship
There must be an awful smell off that heap of maritime metal with no toilets💩💩💩💩💩🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲💩💩💩💩💩
The Ford won’t be needed for the 2nd clock ticking preliminary 5th final warning of a warning to proceed.
Call in the plumbers
…Does being back home of USS Ford the great mean a victory over Persia? May 18, 26: 0853 utc+7…
I wonder which nation's country they're coming from bombing?
Welcome home!
Thank you for your service 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
It came home cause Iran fucked up that air craft Carrier with the missiles Trump claims they destroyed 😂😂 or was this the kitchen fire that brought it back home lol

Honte les américains
The contrast here is striking and, frankly, disrespectful. You have a military officer following strict protocol in his uniform, while Pete stands there in sunglasses and a suit, ignoring basic military etiquette. It perfectly explains why people in the comments are calling him a 'tattooed thug' (voyou tatoué). This whole scene looks more like a PR stunt than genuine respect for the service members. Given the vibe, I highly doubt he brought anything useful — or even food — for the crew on board.🎉
Welcome back shipmates
America will lose it's next war it has too many females in its military and in leadership positions
It’s gonna be a lot of baby making and baby explaining in the next few days
Welcome home to these warriors. Gone far too long So happy for them and their families.
GOD BLESS ARE SAILORS
A lot of happy people today and a few more days left for some. They are coming back from combat and they need a break from that. We are all proud of the crew and the people that made this possible. I’m sure they will be having a cold one tonight.
ELEVEN MONTHS? WTH?
Iran said they have sank it 😂😂😂😂
Amazes me how that beast can float in water.
Welcome home terrorist fighting heros.
