I can remember Derbyshire Miners Holiday Camp, which was close to Butlins, that i went to in the '60s maybe that is something to do with it.
Without patronising you both….Its actually Winthorpe..Used to stay there for years! The empty space next to the carpark used to be The Dunes pub. A great seaside pub, huge! Lovely and massive kids entertainment room upstairs…its been like that for over 10years, sadly..that's why they built The View 😊

we had a car wash the other day it cost £30 I was amazed how much it costs now. The beach you went to looked so nice, not been to a beach in a long time. I have hard water here too, messes up all your electric appliances costs you more in the long run. My washing machine surprisingly has lasted about 10 yrs but I don't use it everyday.

Winthorpe looks lovely. Like yourselves, I'd never heard of it. The food looked really good. The beach too. We really do have some underrated seaside towns with clean sandy beaches.
Watching the amount of doggy doo you were picking up after a couple of days reminded me of my last dog. He'd have a couple of markies biscuits, but you'd think he'd had the whole box, the amount that would be dropped on the lawn from his other end 😂
