The turning circle of the Golf R and the GTI are the same at 38.1 ft and thus it is not due to the AWD system.
Almost bought one but the dealerships wouldn’t let me test drive it… ended up going with the CTR and love it. This car is sick though
Couple of points. There is no remote start, in the app or otherwise. You can have one fitted though I think. And 2, sport+ holds the gears. That mode will not auto upshift.

Awesome video as always! Regarding the price, I’ve seen a lot of reviews where people complain about the price. Here in Europe (where it originates from,obviously) is more expensive. A tad more than the US and nearly TWICE the price compared to Canada. So I’d be glad to pay 50k us/cad for it 😅
Rambunctious means crashes. The gr corolla can have it. I'll take the sophisticated power. That said, if you can't afford the Golf R, the corolla is a great alternative. Just has a much lower ceiling.

I have done a ton of upgrades to mine. I refuse to do a tune since i am waiting for warranty. i'm on a 2024.
The only thing i like about the 8.5 is the software, the screen is really big to me, but i like some of the new software features.
All that said. If you like handling, RSB is a must. front and rear strut bars add to it. I recommend them too, unless you live on a dirt road.
Performance. an Intercooler makes a noticable difference. I went with the mabotech v2. but get whatever you want.

I believe the wireless charging pad not working is because of Apple Pay/Google wallet. I turned NFC off on my phone and didn't have the issue anymore. Although maybe not worth it if you're someone that pays with their phone 😅

Put the car in Nürburgring-mode or drift-mode and you can use manually shifting w/o automatic upshift.
If you have the European Style Package you get also titanium rims. Also no sun roof, that’s why you have more head room. But the car is overall 80 pounds lighter and the voluntary governor is disabled and you can drive up to 175 mph.
