What Trump’s Hiding About Hegseth w/ Rep. Jason Crow

Rep. Jason Crow said Pete Hegseth’s public execution plan is the opposite of the military’s ethos of servant leadership and the “quiet professional,” arguing that it turns service into performance politics, sends a message of vengeance rather than duty, and makes the country less safe by aiding enemy propaganda; he also said capital punishment is not a deterrent, is morally and financially costly, and that Hegseth is catering to the far right instead of facts. Crow then discussed Tina Peters, saying her release should not have happened because she showed no contrition, doubled down on election denialism, and is now back in the Trump orbit helping push plans that could suppress votes. On elections, he said Democrats must recruit strong, real candidates focused on their districts, acknowledge where the party has fallen short, and speak honestly about corruption and working-class anger, which he believes both parties have helped create. He added that oversight, subpoenas, hearings, and even impeachment are tools to remove Hegseth and clean up the Pentagon, but the real goal is accountability and protecting constituents and service members.

  1. This guy has a presidential air about him. Military background, integrity, passion, ability to articulate an argument. Good voice timbre, doesn’t look or sound weird which sadly is importabt. 2032?

  2. Watching 2 days later than this was posted, Katie Zacharia has been terminated, bringing in a new measure, a "Zacharia" which is equivalent to 2.75 Scaramuccis.

  3. Jason is so wise to focus on goals not the tools. Impeachment is such a trigger that other tools may accomplish the goals without allowing the person playing the victim card. That helps all Americans get on board. Stealing money from tax payers is clear to individuals who are don't have money for food, rent, health care, etc.

  4. It was announced today that Trump canceled the livestream. The execution is still on; only victims' families will attend. So, killing a guy in a wheelchair is still only going to make him a martyr. When he's in prison, he's sight out of mind.
Also, has Tina Peters had a psych eval?

  5. The discussion is deadly serious and of critical importance, which is why every time Jason Crow moves his head into juuuust the right position that something on the bookshelf behind him lines up to look like a red and white party hat…I giggle. Nervous laughter or much needed relief? lol

  6. People want their politicians to stop taking money from billionaires, big business, and Israel, and to start putting Average Americans first. Super simple.

  7. Always hard to listening to the gloryfication of the American army and talking about ethos.
And Molly…take some vocal training. The vocal fry was hard to listen to this time (specialy second part).

  8. I love Jason Crow! Smart, thoughtful and brave. Every time I see him I think there’s a man you can trust..
And having been a military spouse and a military daughter and mom, I can tell you that he’s the real deal not Hegsted men like Jason Crowe are the real deal as far as the military is concerned.

  9. WHY do Democrats cling to this 'mea culpa! We failed the voters!" regarding Trump's victories? NONSENSE! The racist, cement head voters and non-voters are to blame! Period. All the things Trump has taken away like ACA credits, SNAP, environmental laws, voting access issues, etc. are 100% Democratic policies! The voters are determined to ruin their own lousy lives and the media loves to hang MAGA criminality on Democrats rather than voter ignorance!

  10. Never mind that, what's Hegseth's connection with cutting off Starshield to Ukraine just before a Russian bombardment? Musk says it wasn't him, it was the US Government – could Trump have understood it? It was one or other of them.

  11. I get discussed when we say things like it’s expensive to go the route of excision. When we equate the value of a life with moral behavior and the dollar we loose. It’s always about morality. Now the argument is what is moral behavior.

  12. Strawberry saeson was back in March-April. Strawberries you see in the store in October are air-freighted from the southern hemisphere or are raised in specialty greenhouses in the U.S., Japan, and Korea.
