“When Jesus Speaks” opens my album “Echoes of My Heart” with a declaration of the life, freedom, and hope found in the voice of Jesus.
Inspired by the story of Lazarus, the song begins beside a closed tomb, where everyone believes the story is over. But when Jesus calls his name, the stone moves, the darkness gives way, and death loses its authority.
That same truth still speaks today. When the heart feels buried, faith grows tired, or hope seems out of sight, one word from Jesus can bring light into the darkness. Chains let go, fear begins to fall, and what looked finished can rise again.
