Why'd the marines have to complicate an already complicated thing 😭
Soooooooo make a coating that combines the 2 😀
Lies the f35 can't take off from the super carriers
Yah
Os pneus dos caças, tem tração é? 😂😂😂😂
I absolutely love how there's not a single pilot in the comments discussing. I'm not a pilot and therefore I must argue on the internet.
Also the pilot: I must argue with the idiots on the intenet!
Could it not just land conventionally like the F/A 18? Or does it not have the stick on the back to catch the wires?
I at first read that as F-350 and was wondering when the hell Ford made their trucks fly
couldn't they theoretically hover above the water and then tilt to get just the tiniest bit of forward momentum to glide those laste few meters with the engine off?
So it can still land with the arresting wire and tail hook tho right? I mean it would be nice to not need that just in case but I guess if it’s an emergency then you can say forget it and land anyway and worry about the paint later
So in an emergency, let’s say you’re flying over AC you took off from your ship. Your ship is 10 miles away. Your engine is failing. Where are you landing in aircraft carrier or the sea
Very cool. Learned something new today 👍
Just make separate landing pads for the F35b and make it kind of like a elevator so when landing the platform moves down if you want to keep the coating or a more cost friendly option would be to mark out a zone for the F35b to land and skip the coating on that zone
It can still land on a traditional carrier, vis an arrested landing
I can’t land on one either. Plane ain’t special.
The F-35 can't do much
Why don’t they just make a non painted or differently painted LZ somewhere on the deck
Also, since when do F-35s use their afterburners in VTOL mode… While LANDING? AI?
I think its more of the F-35B cannot VTOL land on an CV. They can still do the conventional landing
A plane landed onto a van on a ship. What are the odds? 😂
Who the fuck thinks the jet blast would melt the carrier steel deck? Nobody smart is thinking that.
Landing pads easy
