Wicks Broke Every Floor: Nearly $1B Liquidated

Wicks broke every floor this morning. Yesterday at the close (verified Coinbase), Bitcoin finished at $81,566.29 — back below $83,000; Ether closed at $2,418.66, below $2,530.28; Cardano closed at $0.22991, below its $0.242 floor for a third straight day. This morning, quick spikes lower pushed BTC to $80,125, ETH to $2,313.07 — below its $2,404.60 double low — and ADA to $0.21573. About $950 million in leveraged bets were forced closed in 24 hours (CoinGlass via multiple reports), most of them bets on higher prices, with Ether taking the largest share (~$286-293M). As covered on Tuesday, a spike alone does not confirm a break — tonight’s closes will say whether those floors truly gave way. US PPI inflation data is also due today.
