How can an F-14 be an "old F-14" when he was young?
There's only two kind of men out there: those who flew the Tomcat, and those who wish they had flown it!
Is that Maverick
The JOY on his face!! ❤❤❤
F-14 was like a hyped-up F6F Hellcat for WW2 Navy pilots.
Not a bad way to finish your career.
legend
Awesome!
Wow! The pace of Naval Aviation from 1941 to 1971 was incredible! This man really lived in the Golden Age of Aviation. A real Pilot!
Yeah I've got an old F14 up on blocks in my front yard
I mistakenly thought this was Bud Anderson, but the originator of this content posted a correction. Here is the exchange:
This is the legendary Bud Anderson who was Chuck Yeager's best friend during WW2. He was a triple ace in that war, and was promoted to the rank of Major at age 22. He died in May, 2024 at 102 yo.
Good for you sir. You were a knight riding a mighty steed your entire career. Thank you for your service sir.!!!
Back in the days when a competent pilot could say "If I can start it. I can fly it" a former CFI of mine who became a 777 captain burst that bubble for me when he said "yeah, but, now you have to know the password to the computer to start it"
Robin Olds?
As much as I admire this man's service, I doubt he flew a "Fifi" (F1F1 biplane)
Huge fucking lie. Delusional liar. You can tell who he's been his whole life, by who he turned into as an old man.
❤ that's cool😂
Cool guy.nice 😊
Haven’t flown their canoe, mailtruck or the Apollo Lunar Module
why does she have to push the old woman
Envy…….green with envy
This is the most American thing I've ever heard ! ❤
Thanks for your service ! 🇺🇸
I salute you sir! F-14 is a goat!
I had an instructor who basically refused to give me dual instruction in a 152 because he said we'd be overweight. So he just let me go in a long cross country even though he knew I could fly a piper cub just fine lol
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
All airplanes are pretty much the same. Lmao. When men were men.
"all airplanes are pretty much the same" – as long as you don't run out of gas or something it's kinda true.
Having flown every Grumman aircraft, I wonder if that includes the Ag Cat….
A really good man.
Sooooo coooool!!!
Everyone thinking the Tomcat is the Grumman goat and sleeping on rhe F6F…
Dick Foote?
So cool that he originally flew prop and piston powered aircraft to the F14
Nice and t y
IRL War Thunder crewman. Respect!
Awesome
The fact that this man was able to fly an F14 without even looking at a NATOPS either says a lot about the pilot or the plane. And I know enough about the F14 to say that it's definitely saying more about the skill of the pilot
Hell of a retirement party
My favorite brand
Awesome; these guys are an American treasure. Know you have our respect.
I knew it all aircraft carrier vehicles are the same
only thing different in that cockpit from the other cats is the HUD and 2 screens
Flew da Best. 😅
F-14… no hand book ? Sounds like Joe Biden….😂
Lol, this guy is a American stud💪🍾
