While making the rounds in the media to promote his new book, blacklisted former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick spoke on the lengths NFL owners were willing to go to silence his national anthem protest, even exposing his first conversation with rapper Jay-Z when the billionaire decided to side with ownership over Kaepernick and the rest of the players. 1. Xx nobody cares about these stupid idiots especially Kaepernick. I don’t know what he thinks he is but he’s a failed professional athlete and now he wants to be what they called a social justice warrior shaver head you jerk off cause you look like an idiot.

  2. I stand with Colin all the way he stood for something and he still standing on it. He believed in something and he did it for us not for the rich people the billionaires none of them people he did it for us just regular American people injustice that injustice that was happening to us Black people and I’m so glad that he stood on business and he still standing on business and I’m just so proud that he is speaking out and telling his story his truth

  3. jay z WAS A DRUG DEALER, ACTIVELY ENGAGED IN COMMUNITY-DESTROYING BEHAVIOR. THEN HE RAPPED (AND GLAMORIZED) ABOUT HIS ACTIONS. WE NEED TO SIT WITH THOSE FACTS FOR A MINUTE OR TWO…

he HAS NEVER CARED ABOUT ANYONE BUT himself.

  4. Old American Vet here.
When you become a Billionaire, it changes you. It changes who you know. It changes who you hang with.
No one should have that much in resources. That's what money is, resources. If the Top 1% has more wealth/resources than the rest of the whole country, how does that work out for everyone? It's a ridiculous statistic that is unsustainable.
    Ban The Billionaires!
    Make NAZIS Fear Again!

  5. At some point, protesting has to turn into actually doing something.

That is where I think Jay-Z deserves more credit than Colin Kaepernick is willing to give him. Kaepernick brought enormous attention to issues he believed needed to be addressed. Fair enough. But bringing attention to a problem and actually getting yourself into the rooms where decisions are made are two different things.

Jay-Z chose to work with the NFL instead of standing permanently outside of it. Roc Nation's partnership with the NFL included involvement with the league's Inspire Change initiative, which focuses on areas including education, economic advancement, police-community relations, and criminal justice reform.

Kaepernick now argues that Jay-Z's partnership undermined the protest. Jay-Z's position has essentially been that protest was supposed to lead to action in the first place. That's the part of Kaepernick's criticism I have a hard time understanding.

You can't demand change and then automatically attack someone for getting a seat at the table and trying to create change from inside the system.

Kaepernick can disagree with Jay-Z's approach. That's fair. But acting as though working with an organization automatically means surrendering your principles makes the argument sound more interested in maintaining the protest than measuring what actually gets accomplished.

At some point the question has to become: What did you actually change?

Making noise gets attention. Turning that attention into action is the harder part.
