Bangladesh has confirmed plans to explore the acquisition of Chinese J-10CE fighter jets, citing the aircraft’s reported performance during the recent India-Pakistan conflict as one factor behind the interest.
The potential deal could mark a significant development in Bangladesh’s military modernisation plans. Alongside the J-10CE, Dhaka is also considering other Chinese defence equipment, including attack helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Bangladesh is purchasing J10CE is because it is one of the cheapest capable jet fighter there is and it has developed significantly (matured) since it was produced in 2006, Bangladesh needs attack helicopters more especially on Burma side
