Lincoln County charity founder indicted for stealing $800K in storm relief donations, prosecutors sa



Oregon DOJ said Marcus Brooks, executive director of the Cascade Relief Team, stole $800K meant for storm victims and spent it on himself.

  1. Good Lord, wasn’t there any oversight?? Obviously not !! So he was just handed over nearly one million dollars and nobody, absolutely nobody monitored how the money was spent. This man seriously deserves life in prison !!

  2. Oregon needs to get tougher at people who steal. These people need to do a minimum of 15 hours of community service.
    Fraud is so out of control on all fronts. I can’t go a week without hearing someone had stolen money from a Non-profit, a business, a vulnerable person.

  3. I'm still waiting to hear about what happened to all the donated generators that were stolen that were supposed to go to the victims of the hurricane in North Carolina
