Even if you could catch your fall with a cauldron of water, being able to "clutch" with it would be practically impossible without a pre placed cauldron. You can't have a cauldron full of water in your inventory, as breaking a cauldron with lava or water inside of it just makes it a regular cauldron. Placing a cauldron, switching to your water bucket, filling the cauldron with water, and getting the proper position to actually fall into the water itself instead of breaking your knees on the edge of the block, would be something no natural human could reasonably do.
I thought it might catch your fall, but you can’t break a cauldron full of water and have that in your inventory. I figured you would have to refill it again. So I’ll give myself half credit for picking right for the wrong reason
You can dupe and ore with a Fortune pickaxe and then create a ore block then do it over and over again till it satisfies you. Only lazy people would do it tho that's why I dont to it
I don't think gravel can land on soul sand but again I've never placed gravel on a block and let it fall on soulsand before. Also given how physics breaking culdrens are, i don't think you can land in them
