Hydroplaning is when the tires of your car ride up on the top of a layer of water. A little bit like a surfboard. Hydroplaning happens either because you have bad tires, or the water is deep. Take your foot off the throttle and don’t touch the brake. In almost all cases, you’ll regain control of the vehicle.

Good luck on your road test.

  1. Last time I hydroplaned, my instinct was not to touch any of the pedals, but to use quick but gentle steering motions to kinda slow the car down as I slid over to a safe place

  2. “In other words don’t be on cruise control”
What is cruise control? I thought cruise control meant like when you’re just letting the car drive itself?
Idk I don’t drive but it sounds like cruise control means the opposite of what it sounds like, Lmao
